South Korea is perhaps the premier user of CDMA, which probably explains why Samsung has become a major CDMA phone supplier. There is a CDMA network in China as well.
That doesn't alter your main point, that CDMA is used in far fewer countries than GSM and thus Americans who want the best provider in the U.S. (Verizon Wireless) and the ability to roam need a phone that does both GSM and CDMS. Until now their only WM choice has been the Samsung i830. |
