It is nothing totally new! We were reporting previously (see HERE) that it is possible to turn a Windows Mobile phone with WiFi into a WiFi access point (WiFi hotspot) but it required changes in registry and was...

This requires an ad hoc WiFi connection to be set up which is generally trickier and more error prone than an infrastructure mode connection to a real WiFi router.
Microsoft don't seem to want to support Host AP Mode on either WM or XP, which enables a WiFi interface to act as a true Access Point. _________________ WiFiFoFum Pocket PC Wardriving

good point but maybe some 3rd party developer could create ability to support also infrastracture-type ? |

As far as I'm aware there are no open source wifi drivers for any of the current devices . I'd love to get my hands on the TNETWLN driver HTC use in their phones. _________________ WiFiFoFum Pocket PC Wardriving
