To me, that seems like a typo. October of 2009 is way too far into the future for the device to be shown at this years MWC.
EDIT: Looks like the date is supposed to be in euro format (dd/mm) so Feb '09 doesn't seem too bad.

we are more lucky than the people in Thailand, where according to this same website, the X1 is expected to be released on 10/2/2552.
Wow. Thats forward planning like in a socialist society. A 100 year plan for successful mobile phones?

So let me write this today, on March 3rd 2551 as it states in the Buddhist calendar 
Apparently people only notice that dates are just indications on April fools day...
