Back when we first started hearing about the Foleo, and the term "mobile companion" was new, I didn't get it. So when Celio contacted us about the RedFly, I was curious. I wanted to see a mobile companion ...

I still do not get it. Why not just bring a Windows notebook? At the end of the day you are still carrying a notebook. I'll prefer a notebook with an OS so I can do more like watch DVDs on my flight!

I think like fatcatz, if I need to carry a device larger than a smartphone, I will get an Asus EEE for example, NEVER a pseudo-laptop without OS

Count me in as part of the "I still don't get it" crowd. My Eee PC does everything the Cileo does - and a whole lot more. Why would someone want to carry around a device with so many compromises when a more fully-functional device costs the same, weighs the same, but does so much more? Confused

When it is connected to the phone like the TyTN which has a native resolution of 320x240, what is the resolution output on the device? Is it still 320x240? Or would it change to something like 640x480 or even better 1024x768?

I am starting to get this idea. I think there is potential.

I like the concept. IMHO, this is one step closer to having a smartphone replace a laptop. Before everyone points out the power of a laptop, plus being able to play DVDs, whatever, there is real value in this from a business sense if you all ready supply your employees with smartphones. I like the fact it doesn't have it's own OS, especially about the part if it is lost or stolen. No loss of data. Definitely has real potential.
