WinMo7 will, according to the article, blow the iPhone UI out of the water

You mean like how Vista's UI totally blows OSX's UI out of the water?

Can't see it happening. Ever.

Insteading of improving the UI I think Microsoft really needs to improve the resposivess and stability of its OS first... I look forward to the day when WM devices to not require a reset button anymore! Is there a reset

I have one WM 5.0 phone (Xda Exec) that I have been using lightly for 2 years and it has be reset 177 times (according to Tweaks2K2.NET) which is roughly 1 reset very 4 days. I've had to reset my Nokia phones less than once per year, quite sad really!

not bashing, just mentioning that they (mostly) don't disclose for what is paying Microsoft and for what they are paying themselves. They should disclose it.

As an mvp I'd like to know where my HTC Touch Dual is then?, I think you have been misinformed on that one.

you obviously missed the last moebious then. for a complete "disclosure" what an mvp would get there (wink wink) see e.g. the unwired

"And now the disclosure: Airfare, hotel and conference was covered by Microsoft (including free WiFi access during the sessions). Day 1 dinner was sponsored by HTC and day 2 dinner was sponsored by Qualcomm.
While no carrier took the opportunity to present, Vodafone NL was kind enough to gave each attendee a free data-only enabled USIM card to be used with Vodafone NL's (excellent) HSDPA network. HTC thankfully gave each attendee an HTC Touch Dual 10-keys version and Microsoft gave away a full version of Windows Vista, Office 2007 Ultimate, Mass Effect for Xbox 360. Skooba provided a Shuttle bag, SanDisk provided a 8 GB microSD memory card with miniSD and SD adapter, CoPilot provided CoPilot Live 7, Qualcomm sponsored a 1 GB USB stick and a (paper) notepad and AstraWare sponsored a VIP membership and Soduku Revolution voucher."

"In the interest of full disclosure, Microsoft paid my way to come to Thailand: airfare, hotel, and meals during the Mobius conference"

so whats the point really? yea, you will find some MVPs who dont bother to repeat it everytime, because its superflous information if its already known. i dont qualify as an MVP, but i dont envy them either. their benfits are well desvered considering what the bring to the community

again you are wrong: your quotes are about Mobius and not about MVP summit - they should disclose who pays what in case of MVP summit. The Mobius is different thing.

Mobius is not MVP in any way. Mobius is an invite only conference and MS are only one of many sponsors. All areas of mobile technology attend including Sybian and Palm etc. Most MVPs do not get invited to Mobius, only a lucky few who are considered to be influentual get invites.
If people attending Mobius did get the Touch Dual then they are the lucky ones.
Also another comment about MS paying for the flights to the summit this again is a false statement, MS do not pay for flights or help towards the cost of them.
