My i-mate Ultimate 9502 arrived on Tuesday, ordered in UK from Clove, delivered to xxxxxx in 3 days (standard delivery).
This phone is great! The only "problem" it has is low amount of free memory (~30MB) despite the fact that it has 128MB RAM. Have seen post somewhere stating that imate support is working on this...
I won't compare this device to Nokia, becuase I don't have it.
What I have is HTC TyTN.
So, the screen doesn't seem "small" to me, it's exactly the same size (will try to put TyTN protector soon).
Keyboard - I still have to get used to it, but initial impression is very good, no stuck keys or anything like that I experienced on TyTN.
Speaker seem just a little louder than TyTN, could be louder a bit, mine is set to max volume and in open space it's sometimes still too low.
It has jog dial and OK button on left side exactly as TyTN - I can't live without those anymore.
VGA screen is just excellent! Remote desktop with z2software.com - YEAH!
Build quality is excellent, it feels solid, it's not cheap plastic anymore, it's metal and some leather on top/bottom. Battery cover is also made from metal.
Now going out to play with GPS, just installed Google maps _________________ HTC TyTN | HTC Tornado SP5 |

| Hi, I'm surprised that this article hasnt been posted before, the 9502 and 802 have been on the market and advertised for neearly 2 months here in australia where imate seems to survive thanks to an agreement with our biggest operator - Telstra. They exclusively sold the jasjam (aka Tytn) and now have exclusive rights to the imate ultimate devices for a while. |
