The motto of HTC's announcement on May 6 is "innovation" and we already know, that in software area HTC will present successor to HTC TouchFLO (formerly leaked to the Internet in early version under code-name "H...

If the battery is really 900 mah, a more realistic reason could be that the Qualcomm processor went from 90nm to 65nm, which means the processor itself uses less power.

While an OLED screen uses less power than a TFT, a capacitive touch screen does not use significantly less power than a resistive one.

So they've tried jog wheel, scroll ball, jog strip, and the next gimmick is a multitouch screen. These HTC hacks are all crap and at the end of the day you are still confined to the horrible stylus based windows mobile UI for your main tasks.

That's not HTC's fault. While Touch Flo is kinda half-arsed, it does work pretty well in making WM devices more pleasurable to use.

I agree there have been gimmicky designs as of late. They should just stick with the tried and true input methods and try to enhance the software and battery life.

Not bad Theorizing here.

Just switching to vga would not be enough as some other bottom market producers like Amoi are also bringing out some new vga devices.

Oled would probaply bring the oprice up to much as this propably can't be produced cheaply enough yet.

Any phone that comes out aimed at a wider mass consumer market can't really go beyond a 500 Euro price as it won't be competitive enough against the Iphone. So taking most new extra's into account oled is not propable for a reasonable market price. Doesn't mean it wouldn't kick ass.
