| Manufacturers should make those screen protectors built-in their handsets instead of relying to third party.. |

Having used both, there are several problems with these products. On the "full body" versions there are a lot of joins and fiddly pieces to stick - which can take over 2 hours to apply and which are a nightmare to get perfectly aligned and fully adhered.
The adhesive quickly gathers gunk around the edges, which become highly visible, and then get caught on clothing etc and start to peel. So after a couple of months your device just looks like you've wrapped it yourself with sticky-backed plastic.
Finally, they both give an annoying mottled effect to the screen, and a rubberised feel which is unpleasant to use with a stylus.
As for the manufacturer providing a "built-in" protector, some already do (e.g. Palm Centro). But what do you do if that gets scratched or damaged? Back to square one.
My advice is, save the time and effort, and stick the conventional method of Boxwave/Brando/Martin Fields Ultra Clear, together with a decent case. |
