Though of course as predicted no graphics drivers. On the screen rotate they have implemented double buffering so you do not see the screen being redrawn though it still takes the same amount of time. You can also see this on the diamond videos. So how long it takes the screen to actually flip after the phone is rotated. Then go and compare it to the iphone. The iphone visually rotates the screen using a transformation.
Anyone updating their ROMs from xda-developers will already have all the features here. The new ones even include software ripped from diamond such as the keyboard and opera. Typically HTC have ignored the largest section of their consumers those who purchase through operators, these people will have to invalidate their warranty to get these updates.
The only real performance increase I see is the keyboard to enter your sims pin code. The double buffering while looks better uses a lot more memory and offers no performance increase.
As predicted this is a windows 6.1 update that completely ignored the lag and performance issues on the Kaiser. |

| Can't seem to find the download. I guess it'll come later for the ATT Tilt whenever ATT feels like it. |

| I have an unbranded TyTN II and it is registered with the HTC eClub. When I go to the HTC eClub and login it says there are no ROM updates for my device. So on top of the ROM update not actually fixing the devices problems they are not posting it for everyone who is technically entitled to the update. Way to go HTC. This is my 7th HTC device and will now be my LAST device from them. |

I cant see it either!! To me the TyTN II was just a waste of money and the new Diamond which i wont be buying isnt any better.. i still prefer to use my old S710 which I wish was 10x faster.. HTC are just annoying their customers, why cant they get it right? Maybe M$ is also to blame, either way consumer patience is running low..

I'm thinking the same thing, they need to change.. In terms of what’s graphically possible, take the three year old PSP! Its fast, reliable and has a thriving dev-community.. Why cant HTC compete with a 3 year old device in terms of speed and usability, even a new-comer as Apple have upped the game with a fast responsive Ui.
The next big game changer may just turn out to be SonyEricsson, if HTC and M$ don’t up their game, Apple and the PSPII Phone will dominate the market share of high-end devices.

It has more flaws than 6.0 ON TOP of having an EVEN SLOWER interface!

I don't think I have smoked anything. But I do feel my JASJAM running a bit faster with WM6.1 than WM5 or WM6. And it is very solid so far. _________________ Proud owner of HTC Touch Diamond and i-mate JASJAM. |

NVIDIA upcoming APX 2500 CPU/GPU will most likely be the saviour of Windows Mobile, it was partly developed by Microsoft and has some very interesting high-end features that make all past and current HTC devices look like dinosaurs in comparison.

A bit of feedback from a guy who left a commect on my blog after he upgraded
"I really don’t think this update is worth getting in a fluster over. Sure it’s nice to have threaded SMS without having to rely on a thrid party product. Having used if for a few days now the phone just feels like it’s become more unstable.
It freezes for a few seconds everynow and again, Coreplayer won’t display picture, only voice and the slidy keyboard seems to ha a mind of its own from time to time. Oh, not to forget the video improvement… if you can call it that. I reckon they printed those words in the the list of update to get the customer to shut up for a while.
All problems I didn’t have with 6.0." _________________ Chris

They've managed to make it even more flawed.
I WAS simply disappointed with HTC.
Now I feel it's quite deserved if they never sold another phone.
Hell, I'm debating whether I would care much if they got shot.
Incompetent money-leeching bastards. |
