What is the point of having a Windows Mobile phone with 3G/HSDPA and full web browsing capability if you can't use them without a fear of being overcharged? The same with UMPCs, mini-notebooks and other notebooks....

One thing worth noting is that if you find you have no coverage they are more than happy to take the device back and give you a refund.
I didn't get the money back from my "top-up" though, which meant I paid £10 for about 200Kb |

I had coverage of 3 network even in totally rural locations like 2 miles from Stonehenge |

I had none in a semi-urban area.
No network has perfect coverage, but it's good that they'll take it back if it doesn't work for you |

Ummmm, what do you mean 'Mobile Broadband over cellular networks (at last) arrived to UK!!' - they've been out a good long time, and have recently been discounted form £99 to about £69 PAYG as they are slow sellers according to 3. Are you getting sponserd by '3' for this?
Orange 3G is £5 a week unlimited download so works out better value for me, but I do also have a 3 dongle shared over a network using the USB port of a Draytek Vigor wireless router in my office.
And I have done so for about a year! So how is this news?!?! |
