Previously "smartphone" or "MS Smartphone" was denoting a Windows Mobile phone without touch-screen but nowadays this variant is simply called "Windows Mobile Standard".

For SMS messages "SMSBubbles" is a far more elegant solution, bringing PPC features
to the Smartphone which is great as you get to see some of the contents of the
message, plus its Free:
