what was contribution of Bill Gates to mobile phone industry in general and to Windows Mobile in particular? The answer, sadly is: second to none.

You just accidentally gave high praise to the man you want to hate! Priceless. Cool

True.. and in defence of Gates (something i don’t do often) i would say he has contributed more to Windows Mobile than you can or ever will in your lifetime!

At the end of the day without Bill G's money and support there wouldn’t be a Windows Mobile platform (or msmobiles.com) regardless of what state the platform is in now, so rather than blame everything on Bill G, you should thank him and focus your hatred at the teams directly responsible for WinMo development and end user experience..

I think it was once stated that Bill Gates didn't carry a cell phone.
