Videos on YouTube are like hapiness and money ("if you can't buy hapiness, then you don't know where to shop"): you can find anything on YouTube and if you can't find it, then you don't know how to search.

"the image sharper than in iPhone because it uses full 640x480 pixels"
doesn't mean a damn thing if the videos themselves aren't 640x480. |

nowadays many videos on youtube are viewable in 640x480 pixels - I have tested it thoroughly. In YouTube desktop version you must click on the high resolution link and in YouTube version for HTC Touch Diamond just set the setting to high resolution. If you encounter however old video that is not available in higher resolution then indeed it makes no difference though.
However many new YouTube videos, particularly trailers that have "HD" in title, are indeed in 640x480 pixels on YouTube! |

"High quality" Youtube videos are only 480x360, not 640x480. Standard YouTube videos are 320x240.
Also, the image won't appear sharper on the Diamond because the YouTube video compression will remove any fine details.
Additionally, if I was going to get a device for video playback, I'd want a widescreen display (yes I know YouTube videos are 4:3 but most other video sources are 16:9 or 2.35:1). |

You tube or not, it is always preferrable to have higher resolution picture, videos or audio. You can always downsample for lower quality needs. But you would regret if you don't have high quality for later use.
Hence people buy high res camera even though we don't need high res all the time.
I found it amazing how people would accept anything lower than 640x480 video and 3M photos. If these were spec of HTC Touch, it would be ridiculed by HTC or MS haters. _________________ Proud owner of HTC Touch Diamond and i-mate JASJAM. |

Higher quality is always better, of course, but there's more to it than that.
Screen size, for one... for watching video a 2.75" screen is hardly ideal, it'd be much more comfortable on the iphone's 3.5".
Haven't actually used a Diamond yet though, so might change my mind when I see it!
I think the widescreen on the iPhone seems better for web browsing too, but again, i'll wait until I've actually used a Diamond. |

what is comfortable? how do u define comfortable?
i'm sure it' more comfortable to watch TV on 50" TV then on 27" TV, so we should all get rid of 27" TV? |

Don't be so churlish. Clearly we are talking about phones, and for me personally, 3.5" is a better size for videos.
(of course there's always a trade off between big screen, and size of the handset) |

People who haven't seen Saturday's episode are going to hate you for posting that specific scene.
You had to pick the most spoilerific scene of the entire episode? :op |

It was only broadcast on Satuday! I know that it's all over the torrent sites, but many people won't have seen it yet. |
