Why does every company think we want to buy a windows mobile and turn it into an iPhone. If so I would by an iPhone at the first place.

I like my windows mobile and want it to stay that way. I want my today plugins and get as much information on the screen as possible. I DONT want 16 icons on my today screen. It's just ugly and not handy. There are many plugins that help me very easily launch any application I want.

I'd speculate that behind it is the expectation that there exist those that want a simple interface but don't want to part with their current phone, it's functionality, their current carrier/plan, or the money that it cost to acquire an iPhone. For such an audience this software may be a good fit. Though my personal preference is to use a few plug-ins to get the information that I want on the Today screen.

Alcedes,

I made a comparison between SPB Mobile Shell and Winterface. The post is at iWindowsMobile blog. There's plenty of screenshots there.
