At last 3.5 mm stereo miniplug! On top of that huge display of resolution 800x480 (i.e. 2.5 times more than iPhone). Simply amazing. This is the phone that can easily compete with iPhone 3G.

Doesn't seem to me 3.5mm audio is the biggest news here Wink Can't see any info on the screen size, not 2.8" I take it ? Resolution isn't everything though as can be seen when comparing the Diamond and the iPhone 3G.

I would prefer 3 Mpixels rather than 5 Mpixels. More pixels on a tiny CCD would only increase the noise level of the photos. HTC should improve on the lens and CCD, these are major factors in deciding photo quality.

Everything else looks nice and more choices for customers. For those who don't need a keyboard and don't mind a larger phone, than this is the best.

Windows Mobile 6.1 does not support multi-touch and HTC needs to release something quickly before Christmas 2008, so still it will be the best Windows Mobile phone

multi-touch should be suppoted by Windows Mobile 7 that is released in February 2009 and if not then Microsoft makes big mistake

Apart from photo pinching gimmick, what is the use of multi-touch?

BTW, Engadget reports it will be almost identical form factor as the iPhone. Finally, something that really competes with the iPhone. .. and yes, I would take this phone over and iPhone any day.

Sure iPhone now has Outlook/Exchange PUSH email. How about all the windows-centric business apps needed to run over VPN? Not to mention all of the other iPhone shortcomings.

The only downfall I see of this phone is the 1300mah battery. 1300mah in a Touch or about any other WinMo phone just doesn't give you a lot of talk time. If you think different, you're not a power user. Seidio's 2000mah does a good job in WinMo phones and might be overkill.

Great phone. I'll wait to see how power efficient it is. Give me talk/standby times.
