HTC is a powerful corporation and even editors of Engadget - Ryan Block and Peter Rojas - are totally uncritical towards HTC and are only praising it... so only few news sources dare to say something against HTC - t...

it's working fine this morning.
Maybe an app that I had installed messed it up.
will run it "as is" with no third party apps for a while.
thanks for letting us know there is a problem, edward

I don't think the problems have anything to do with third party apps. I've experienced many of the same things reported on the site even when no third party applications are running. The most annoying problems is that if the unit has been suspended (off) for more than a certain amount of time and I turn it on it immediatly turnes back off and I have to turn it on a second time. Also callers report that my phone rings several times before I pick up even though I am picking up as soon as the phone rings. _________________ MCAD .Net , MCTS (Web, Windows) |

I absolutely agree with you. I have the original HTC TyTn II. I installed the 6.1 version downloaded from the HTC site. One day use for me was enough to get me back to the original 6.0 version.
The most annoying problem I experienced was that the touch screen became extremely unresponsive and inaccurate. This was more so in the dialer. The available free program memory also dropped from around 70 MB with no programs installed to less than 50.
I really don't understand why HTC did not do enough testing before releasing such a buggy upgrade to then end users. I also appreciate msmobiles efforts in highlighting this problem and thus save valuable time of the users to have the new upgrade installed simply to go back to the old software. |
