Since main owner of i-mate is Jim Morrison, no wonder that it is Scottish press that is revealing the situation! Unfortunately i-mate again blaims others for their own problems:

Because of the poor support I received on both of my iMate products, I have never wanted to see a company go belly up so bad in my life.

Why don't they just go away already? Their support and their ugly current lineup is the reason they are doing poorly. It's only going to get worse as they die a horribly, painful, SLOW death.

Bye iMate. Hope you can flip burgers! Just don't claim it's YOUR recipe at McDonald's they are using. We heard you use that line before!

I don't wish them going bankrupt, I don't wish it to any Windows Mobile seller.

my advice: just change provider but let it not discourage you from Windows Mobile, OK?

No, I'm pretty confident in that comment. Their horrible implementation, support, and claiming other company's ideas as there own do nothing but destroy the credibility of Windows Mobile. They would be better off doing what eXpansis is doing - sell other company's products (but don't claim they are there own).

They have existed years beyond what they should have anyway. Once HTC dumped them, they should have taken the hint. I can't believe they didn't see this coming because EVERYBODY ELSE DID!

If iMate could "make" a phone with a 2.8" screen and nothing else they might have a chance. It would be cheap easy and unique. Basically go for the smallest Windows Mobile Pro phone with a 2.8" screen available. Heck it doesn't even need 3G or GPS. Just the worlds smallest 2.8" screen WinMo Pro phone available. That would probably be a cheap way for them to stay afloat. Hold the smallest phone title in WinMo Pro land. Smaller than even a Euro Diamond. No DPAD just all screen.
