Here we are presenting a video that shows Windows Mobile in an iPhone (you need a browser with Flash support to see it):

Not sure why you'd post an item like this, but that's pretty obviously not Windows Mobile running on an iPhone.
First, it's not an iPhone (clear by looking at the hardware-- screen bezel is much larger than an iPhone), and second, even if it were, you'd need some serious work for Windows Mobile to work on the iPhone's HVGA (320x480) screen, as it's not a resolution supported by WM.
This is all but certain to just be one of the Chinese handset manufacturers' failed attempts at an iPhone clone running Windows Mobile. |

either chinese iphone copy or VNC client. There already have been a few attempts to fake this for viral marketing. _________________ WiFiFoFum Pocket PC Wardriving

"Not Supported" is not the same as "Doesn't work." While I can neither defend nor argue against the authenticity of the device pictured in this video. What I am saying is independent of the video. Windows Mobile is more than capable of rendering in to screens that have resolutions other than what is supported and many of the applications can run in other resolutions with no code modifications. However, if Microsoft ever had to be contacted for support on a display related issue they would not support a developer.
If one wanted to take the Windows Mobile Adaptation Kit to build a Windows Mobile image for their device of non-standard characteristics there is nothing preventing one from doing so. |
