Not true. Bookmark the desktop URL, and it works fine.

Type it in. http://edition.cnn.com

If you're going to slag off other phones needlessly at least check your facts.

Not even Google Phone can edit Google Doc's. So MS has no obligation to do it with its browser. After all, there's always MS Mobile office, right? Very Happy

oi, wiseguy, I just signaled GENERAL problem with iPhone, not just in CNN: unlike in Internet Explorer Mobile 6, you cannot set in iPhone desktop mode so not only CNN but other websites are shown in mobile, not desktop way, and NOT ALWAYS there is some URL available to enforce desktop mode. Example: tuaw.com automatically redirects to i.tuaw.com and no way to see in full mode. So I just pointed general problem.

And don't you tell me about fact checking - i have checked them!

virain: but nokia tablet can edit Google Docs and of course Windows Mobile can edit Office docs but Google Docs offers collaboration with several users and that's why it is so important.

Why not just say that in the first place then?

You said there's no way of viewing it in desktop version on the iPhone, which I've proven to be incorrect. Therefore you didn't check your facts!

If you meant that it the iPhone doesn't have a 'desktop' mode, then say that.

Further more, I can honestly say I've never seen this "problem" on any websites I frequent in all the time I've had my iPhone, but I guess that depends which sites you visit.

tuaw.com - number one for fruit fanboys - also has this problem - many sites have. Please don't measure things by yourself only.

Nokia Tablet is more MID/UMPC type of a device, not a smartphone. So you compare 2 different animals. So can Aigo MID P8860, running Moblin, or Kohjinsha SC3 running Vista, but those are more of UMPC Portal territory

EJR: Where do you get off having a go at me? You call ME a fanboy?

You mention the iPhone more than any other MS site I've ever read!

Your site is a joke. You report lies all the time, and have a go at your readers?

Do me a favour... delete this account. I'm not gracing this piece of xxx site anymore. My time is too valuable.

You think you're some kind of wonder journalist, you don't even know the basic facts of mobiles, and make basic errors all the time. It's really qiute pathetic.

cya!

With all due respect, silksik6 you Do sound like an angry fanboy, who was buying an apple, but got a nicely wrapped lemon! You can delete your account yourself. Or and I am a third party here, just a WM user visiting this forum to get interesting news and opinions on my favorit smart phone platform. Razz

I have not called you 'fanboy'! Geez, calm down!

iPhone has number one position in smartphone market in USA and soon in the world so one must compre Windows Mobile to it naturally.
