Some people think that just because some phone has higher resolution, it also is better for everything. Comparison between HTC Touch Pro with 640x480 pixels and Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 with 800x480 - shows that apar...

that comparision is biased! that person own a HTC touch pro!
how can you compare opera mobile with different version # on each device?
differnet version # might have different default setting! how can your compare that?
if you going to compare, compare it with same version # on both device! |

alright, he shoudl download latest beta to both devices and test the same version but you can't deny that zooming on Touch Pro (and on Diamond) is easier because it has that nice wheel fluent zooming and X1 has no wheel!!! |

you must press further away from the wheel to get left/right - there is a method to use it without problems |

| HTC could put out a chunk of wood with a picture of a screen glued on and you would still proclaim it to be the greatest phone of all times. Fanboy. |

Hi
I've used both, and I own an xperia. While the scroll wheel on the Pro is nice for zooming, the volume slider on the xperia aint far behind.
Additionally, on both devices, once the keyboard is deployed, scrolling using wheel/slider is awkward - these phones will see the keyboard deployed much of the time.
The xperia wins when in landscape mode cause you can see more of the site while zoomed out. It looses cause it does not auto-rotate when used in landscape mode - but how often do you use a touch pro in landscape without the keyboard?
The xperia's optical JS is usefull for web browsing, and prevents those grubby finger prints on the screen. I tend to double tap to zoom anyway.
Both devices are miles away from the jesus phone when it comes to browsing.
