We have tried it in latest version (1.1.1) and we could not believe how fast and smooth it is!

WebKit is an open source (but owned and controlled by Apple) rendering engine used in such browsers as Apple Safa...

Yes indeed it is fast. However, the browser itself is a PIA to use as the zoom function needs real work. A double tap to increase the zoom comes nowhere near the level needed to actually be able to read text, especialy on a VGA Diamond. I always need to go to the menu and increase the zoom to 200 percent.

Fast, yes. Usability, no.

Between the browsers, ALL of them are a PITA for zooming. Opera is the worst. That thing may zoom all the way out or all the way in randomly sometimes. I hate it.

Between them all, Iris is my preferred all around browser. I've been using it since the first public beta and am very happy with how it's progressed and where it's at now.

Still haven't used the latest Pocket IE though. Looking forward to see what they've FINALLY done to improve it.

At least I can control zoom in/out using my d-pad ring on my Diamond! With Iris, I have to go into stupid small menus and select a percentage zoom, usually 200%!

Use the latest XDA-Devs instaaller (from the Omnia), NOT the official 9.5 beta. You'll love it. See http://msmobiles.com/news.php/7944.html for more info.

You haven't missed much - the, as an XDA-Devs rip, currently available version sucks really bad; it's in no way recommended. One can only hope the final version is going to be much better.

Anyone else tried Bolt? It's an Opera Mini style browser, but uses a split screen mode and doesn't do zooming at all. It's also pretty fast.

Yup, I've even published a quick review of it.
