Humm, what is the difference between hands free and headset profile? I am looking at buying a new phone and am not sure what I really want. Thanks for any help.

You CAN answer a phone call without opening the flip, but you can NOT make a voice dial without opening the flip. That doesn't just apply to the bluetooth but the phone in general. You have to hold down the external up volume to start voice dial but the flip has to be open. This is dissapointing but the voice dialing is really awesome. You don't have to record your voice saying the persons name like in some phones it actually uses speech to text technology to look up matches in your contacts.
I am somewhat dissapointed with the bluetooth support in the phone, I don't understand why companies don't just enable all the bluetooth profiles. I am really dissapointed they don't have a generic serial port profile, I would really like to be able to use my bluetooth gps device on the phone. Also, when using my tekram BT headset I have to re-pair the device whenever I want to use it. I do not know if this is a shortcoming of the phone or of the headset. I would like to see if anyone using a motorola BT headset with this phone experience the same problem. |
