Nowadays Windows Mobile devices have usually fast processors (MS Smartphone: 200 MHz, Pocket PC: 624 MHz) so the times when playback of movies was troublesome are over - they have enough power!
Contrary to Pocke...

Whenever I register anything using my address, I use a different name on my domain so that I can always trace anyone who has abused my e-mail address.
I've not had any trouble from PocketTV.
I don't think that your FUD against PocketTV is helpful or justified. _________________ ________________________

Only BetaPlayer allows me to do this
"Here is what I tried:
1. Enabled WiFi on my Dell Axim X30 624MHz.
2. On my X30 I have mapped a network drive that is shared on my PC
3. Run XCPUScalar to be able to see CPU usage on X30
4. I fired up BetaPlayer
5. Changed Zoom options to "Fit to screen"
6. Opened a DivX movie from mapped network drive, movie was 512x384 resolution
7. Pressed Play and I got it playing SMOOTH
So when at home and in range of WiFi I can play any file I have on my PC without the need to waste time to reencode and loose quality.
By the way, CPU usage was hovering between 85-95%"

a) it's not FUD, it's informing people. Apart from not requiring emails this BetaPlayer is simply better than PocketTV !
b) who's that girl? I can't tell.
c) using BetaPlayer over WiFi with big movies - very cool! I have Dell Axim X30 too and it is good to know that this program works so well with it. |

It is FUD, just like suggesting that e-mail addresses from this site could be sold to Mobile Phone software developers and spammers in order to pay for its hosting. I'm sure you don't sell our e-mail addresses, but even mentioning it makes people think, "Hmmmmm, I wonder if MSMobiles sells e-mail addresses to spammers in order to make money?" _________________ ________________________

PocketTV guy has already once sold these emails to Mazingo owner and und then users of PocketTV were getting unsolicited emails (= spam) from Mazingo. There is precedence in case of Pocket TV therefore. There is no precedence in case of MSMobiles. |

Why should I believe you? I have sent PocketTV my e-mail address more times than I can remember and never received spam because of PocketTV (remember, I can trace where my e-mails go). So I have no reason to believe your FUD. _________________ ________________________

YOU TOLD THE TRUTH!!!!!! MARK THIS DOWN IN HISTORY! IT IS A FIRST!!!!!!
I shouldn't be suprised - it was bound to happen eventually! Anyway, since I have not had any spam because of PocketTV, I won't shout too much - needless to say that I won't be registering stuff there again.
Here's hoping that Microsoft develops a mobile GUI with larger icons because;

A lot of PocketPC and Microsoft Smartphone users are going to go blind very soon
