This small Pocket PC phone strangely for some time will be a speed leader among Pocket PC phones: 416 MHz! On top of that built-in Bluetooth and megapixel camera! Wow.
Here are some highlights about this nice...

| I think HTC is on the right track with the MDA compact. If they could just shrink the MDA III down to the size of the "compact" they would have a winner. Another idea for the keyboard would be to turn the device horizontally (for landscape viewing) and have the face slide up exposing a keyboard much like the MDA III does. This would allow for a wider keyboard to type on with both hands and a wide screen to view it on. The megapixel is a must as well as bluetooth. If only they could somehow install speaker independent voice recognition that would work in conjunction with the "action button" on a bluetooth headset. I would pay top dollar for a device that incorporated all of these things, wifi wouldn't hurt either. What's the hold up with companies now days? Is it really that hard to produce such a product? If I had the resources I would have put this out a long time ago myself! |

voice recognition software like Microsoft's Voice Command and some other are already vailable for Windows Mobile.
Regarding "horizontal keybord" - Samsung is already producing such kind of device based on Windows CE though, not Pocket PC. |

I think will be a great product. Infortunetly it has no integarted WI-FI... A phone with a SD card outside de phone box(aerial) will break when you put the phone in the pocket... _________________ SPV E-200 |

Sounds like your wish would come true with the Motorola MPx300. This device has your keyboard the way you want it, has the wide screen, megapixel camera, bluetooth, WiFi...
With the right bluetooth profile support, you should be able to do voice activated dialling with the right Bluetooth headset. My own SonyEricsson HBH-200 is waiting to have a go with the MPx when it arrives sometime this quarter(?)

Yes, I know that MS has Voice Command software but it does not work with bluetooth headsets. It must be activated on the phone itself. As far as Samsung is concerned, you can have your Samsung. They have yet to make even ONE bluetooth phone to my knowledge! What a grave mistake. That reason alone is why I never buy Samsung. And by the way, Motorola has a horizontal keyboard in thier A630 due out in a couple of months but it is a flip, has a tiny screen, standard phone OS, kind of like a cheap version of an MPX. |

I agree with you to a degree. The MPX is sweet! The only things I don't like about it are: no bluetooth headset activation of Voice Command, when the phone is opened to use like a traditional flip phone it is HUGE!, using this phone one handed would be quite challenging, and last but not least it has a small processor (200mhz!). I'm still holding out for the Benq P50 due out in Q1 or Q2 of next year, according to the production manager I just talked to yesterday at BenQ. And by the way, as far as headsets are concerned, I'm waiting for the HBH-660(with display) to come out. Why companies don't just install Voice Command in the headset software is beyond me. Nokia just released a fugly one with it installed. |
