Look Ma -- No Hands! Yesterday bloggerCon III (2004) conference ended in USA, where American bloggers were self-indulging in their self-importance. Interestingly we have spotted that favorite smartphone of American ...

I am really surprised at this 'article'. Everybody in the so called 'blogosphere' knows exactly who Scoble works for, and exactly what he is doiing. In fact, he has posted on his blog, and in comments on others, on what he is doing, and why he is doing it.
I think that the ms mobile group should thank Scoble. He is out there evangalizing their product in a void. They should be out there doing the same thing. Smartphones seem to be exploding, and Microsoft should do everything in their power to make sure that each consumer is at least shown a phone with Microsoft Smartphone 2003, and given a choice. |

Wow! Is European education really bad or was this article written by a 14 year old?
How about a grammar check next time?
An article smashing on a guy for doing his job. How informative. Anyone who reads scoble knows he works for MS. But he also blogs about other products as long as they are interesting.
99% of the blogosphere was for Kerry? That's hilarious. |

| It was really hard, but I managed to get the main point you were trying to make. You are a very bad writer. |

I can't tell if you're trying to promote MS mobile phones or just criticize the company for doing a poor job promoting their product... Perhaps it's due to your incomprehensible writing style.
At least Scoble's posts are easy to read and understand. And don't make my brain hurt.
No bookmark for you! |

In general I've found Scoble to be very open and honest regarding technology that he likes and doesn't like. He should not be ravaged on your site for talking about a product that he believes in.
I believe that Scoble is one of the few bloggers who has done a fine job balancing his blogging with his corporate job and he is not afraid (and this speaks volumes of praise for Microsoft) to speak his mind and be critical.
I've found his thinking to be generally well grounded and personally think it's a cheap shot to go after him for being excited about a technology that involves his employer Microsoft.
Conflict of interest is always something to be watched and monitored in the bloggosphere but I think Scoble is a good example of how it ought to be done.
Although I wasn't there and did not hear it all, based on what I do know about Scoble I'd seriously question the negative spin that you are trying to put on him and his work. Disingenuous blogging will generally be ferreted out by the bloggosphere itself and I think that others who have followed what Scoble writes about would also be quick to defend him. |

I am guessing that you are a non-us citizen. There are plenty of bloggers who are very happy with the outcome of the recent election. There are even plenty of conservative focused blogs, made famous by the clamour over the falsified Bush National Guard documents.
want an example of a sucessful group blog? ever hear of http://www.google.com/googleblog/?
And do you think one of the reasons Nokia has a larger market share could be that they have been selling cell phones forever? |

Wait...
So no one from Msmobiles went to Bloggercon?
Which while small was indeed a free event that anyone blogger or hater could go to...
Who'd you steal those pictures from then? Why are they tagged with your name as if you took them?
Why are y'all ragging on Scoble so much? Are you... jealous? I think so...
And Winer too... Sheesh... the man invents RSS and makes the world a better place.
Last thing,
Why don't you sign your articles? Aren't you proud of them?
Well, I'm proud of what I write no matter what.

|

This entry was perhaps a grammatic low point for me in the year to date. I would guess that a machine translator was used, but that would probably award too favorable a judgement on its capabilities. Was the point that someone who worked for Microsoft acted like a product whore in a public place? Shock! Surprise!
That said...Mr. Scoble did indeed spread the love on his MS Mobile enabled phone at BCIII - in between his incessant feed-size bragging. I even got to handle it at some point. Fine. Even the most basic Hollywood B movie these days is rife with schwag storylines. And for a gathering billed as a "USER CONFERENCE" - because, boy oh boy, we were never allowed to forget *that* - man, I sure got spammed alot by this kind of "see what my product can do" pitch.
It has been pointed out in some journals that Mr. Scoble enjoyed certain spamming priviledges not afforded others, with his cute foam Channel 9 toys placed ubiquitously about. There are digipics floating around if you care to search. They seemed to escape the wrath of Mr Winer, unlike some other Unluckies. Friends of the king and their tribute, eh?
Yes, there is a bit of the cult of personality going on with that crowd. Perhaps they overdocument their every indolent navel gaze. Naturally, this was a subtopic of discussion in - wait for it - Mr. Scoble's "session" on Information Overload. As in, perhaps we can self-edit all this noise we make on our own so others won't have to. Summary? If you don't like what's on, change the channel.
Mr. Winer can surely lay claim to *building* upon the inception of RSS - though, fairly, it was started at Netscape, while they were too busy fending off the steadfast onslaught of MS to pay attention to it. It was a great idea, and big-ass kudos to Dave for seeing that. Sometimes, you don't start the torch in the race, but he damn sure crossed the finish line with it.
For that alone, he should get the Powerball check and ride off into the sunset in a platinum Prius with a mobile 3 Terrabyte Personal Media Server. Maybe that would be a good thing. Trying to hold on to something like a social phenom too long can backfire.
Because the stage has been passed where the value of online journals can be shepherded and defined by just the 3-400 or so people that attend Bloggercon. The pond is a whole lot bigger now, and them that used to be big fishes are now. simply. smaller. |

| I'm pretty sure that Robert posts after hours (on his own time), and I'd be surprised if Microsoft paid to send him to BloggerCon... you should check your facts before you make statements like this... |

You sir are a jerk. The rest of your pathetic site backs this up. (No really, just try it folks, see where he tells you about some Mobius convention and then says you're a loser if you haven't already been invited? He's just bitter as hell.)
Furthermore, your podcast sucks. I was only able to stand about two minutes of it before I had to shut it off. Perhaps before you resume podcasting you could practice speaking English. Conversely, so as not to be a racist, perhaps you could podcast in your native tongue, or at least one you are able to speak clearly in.
You know what I think? I think this whole thing was a publicity stunt for you, to drive traffic to your website. Are you looking to attract advertisers? Palm, perhaps? Everyone I've seen mentioning your site says it's full of xxx anyway. |

Nobody is perfect. And about which Podcast are you talking about, which number? Some of msmobiles.com Podcasts contain interviews with native English speakers.... |
