"it's only the past 2 weeks when people [at Microsoft] got excited about those [Microsoft powered] phones."

Robert Scoble works as evangelist at Microsoft and interestingly (for us, fans of Windows Mobile)...

Oh, I don't mind talking with folks who don't agree with me. If everyone agreed with me life would be boring!

Anyway, I should explain the "excitement" deal. There are 57,000 people here, and lots have been excited by SmartPhones for a long time. My boss's boss, for instance, has had SmartPhones for more than a year now.

It's just that in the past few weeks the level has gotten much higher now that we have really great phones to play with. I'm seeing Audiovox phones appearing all over.

For instance, Steve Lacey over on the Flight Simulator team, writes about his new Audiovox Phone. http://www.steve-lacey.com/blogarchives/2004/11/new_phone.shtml

Interesting that the interview was done via Skype on MSMobiles' side, while my side was done with the Audiovox cell phone.

Thanks for an interesting dialog!

Which area that would be ? I do not believe that cingular has 900 band coverage anywhere. The only place is PR - but I think that is 1800. So either you smoking something or it is just a typo....

Hey MS Mobiles guys,

You are so stupid?

"Here is msmobiles.com" [said extremely fast in a terrible accent].

"I interviewed someone else from Microsoft. I don't remember his name. Something Italian."
