While pretending to be anti-Microsoft in fact The Register website is to a big extend promoting Microsoft products. In this review The Register reviews HTC Blue Angel (branded as i-mate PDA2k, MDA III, etc) and purp...

other than the processor, what else is wrong with this unit? and shouldn't you be happy that this WINDOWS MOBILE PHONE got a good review?

if you have a beef with the register, bash them, not the phone. the way your news item is written, it seems like you'd rather look into some conspiracy theory to pick a bone, instead of applauding the fact that a nicely engineered phone (albeit with a "slower" processor) got a good review.

support the MS community, don't just attack anything that doesn't tickle your fancy. it'll make your site a lot beter.

Zzzz ... what a silly article ...

I'm also generally anti-Microsoft for various real reasons, but when they or their partners release a good product, I'll be the first to praise them.

It's called "trying to be fair and objective in spite of your opinions".

Ty it some time, you might like it.

other than processor? no megapixel camera. no mini-USB connector. and overall outdated construction. Sorry, but if you want to see blind praising of all Microsoft products then goto Microsoft.com .
msmobiles.com is independent.

This is the conclusion taken from msmobiles review of the Orange SPV M2000 (http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3244.html):

"However there is no big point in waiting if you need contemporary Pocket PC phone with built-in Wi-Fi! Motorola MPx and HP iPAQ phones both have much slower processors, so "HTC Blue Angel" - in any incarnation - is indeed a solid offering."

Since there doesn't seem to be another comparable unit with the faster processor I can't see how this would be the most important shortcoming in this device? And the review mentions a few other shortcomings that are not mentioned in the SPV M2000 review.

Please can we get back to the interesting stuff and keep out the boring my site is better than your site stuff...

Fact is:

The M2000/MDA III/XDA III etc. is the best PPC Phone Edition!

Outdated Processor? 400Mhz is still enough for everything!

No Megapixel? Oh dear they are all complaining about Megapixel-Cameras (f.e. mpx 220) and who of us is really taking pictures with a phone? They are still all too bad...

I agree but msmobiles.com is a tabloid and it needs to publish controversial stories from time to time.

Granted, msmobiles does have a thing against the register...

but they also always tell it like it is. Very few sites do that.
