Connect is a German mag for low-end users (young kids who wanna have the latest ringtones and the fanciest Xpress On Covers on their Nokia phones), so reviews in "connect" aint neither worth reading nor worth mentioning at msmobiles.com since the journalists at "connect"
judge phones by the same aspects as usual "connect" readers......
Connect has a high print run, but it's crap anyway
Better read German "PocketPC Magazin" for printed reviews of Win CE devices _________________ I'm sorry for any mistakes I make but I'm unfortunately no native speaker.... just some German pupil ^^

I don't agree. Connect has professional measurement lab and apparently it is really a professional magazine if even T-Mobile itself mentions this magazine in an official press release!
The list of handsets to which it was compared I will provide later on - watch this thread! |

T-Mobile SDA Music is a HTC product branded by T-Mobile. |

Hello,
I'm a technical book writer with a track record of several books about Pocket PCs and Smartphones. Currently I'm evaluating the T-Mobile SDA and I'm really shocked by the low quality of the software on this device. It seems to me that the Connect magazine is biased in this case. Just compare the SDA to a low cost Sony Ericsson phone like the K700i and you will spot the difference.
- Caller-ID is supposed to show photos of the caller but has to be started seperately
- the mailbox number shortcut is not preprogrammed
- the shortcut dialling program "Kuirzwahl" has been forgotten in the start menü (the manual describes it's function)
- in the Messaging application several menus are visible that have no function (they are disabled). This confuses the user-
- etc.
And no: I'm not a Symbian/Series 60 fan eighter - e.g. the Siemens SX1 is almost as bad as the T-Mobile SDA! |
