Eric's review puts the M500 on top of the Mini.
It wins out with larger memory (128MB)
Better performance (Spb Benchmark chart).
And clearer picture quality (Mini's pictures are washed out). |

Yes, The report show E-TEN win most performance like Spb benchmark, with 128M large Flash ROM and also very good camera quality.
And the report the show E-TEN M500 thickness is becuase of using large battery capacity 1440mAh compared 818 only have 1200mAh.
The E-TEN is a famous copmany in ASIA with software development (Even early than Microsoft for Chinese Sysytem) and also the fiancial PDA provide stock informations with No1 marketing share in Taiwan.
The E-TEN also provide the rich application compared the Dopod 818 poor applications. |

I see no reason. Comments in the news item are my impression that of course can differ from yours. You can express your story here in the forum.
If you insist however, please write me exactly what should I add (not change) and I will add text from you in the news item. |

I think everyone can has different options, but the problem is the article you link is total different as you say. (maybe I need translate the whole article to English?)
So you can remove the link and keep your comments or I delete the article in Taiwan to make sure the user will not misleading if they don't know Chinese.
The article show each camera quality, user abailable memory size, specification, softwars list, benchmark and so on...So not just thickness deside everything.
thanks!

Yes, I beg you: do it!
Please do it! We, fans of Microsoft's Windows Mobile phones, would be very very grateful if you could do it!
Then I will link to your translation (in old and new news item) and say "apparently author of the review has different impressions about this comparision that we have at msmobiles.com, read English translation here..." |

|
|
Note: If any of you can't really read chinese then don't just make an assumption that dopod 818 is much much better than eten m500.
This is by far the most biased statement that your site has made to different smartphones/pocketpc phones made by other companies beside HTC.
I like the dopod 818 a lot , price wise is not that cheap but that also applies to all other pocketpc phones.
BUT to me , eten m500 is the definitive winner with more features such as quad band( for you that can't read chinese tough luck , but as msmobiles said ," it's in Chinese, but pictures speak for themselves and are worth seeing"), better photographs, more internal storage (80mb) for users who might not invest in SDcards, and still sport comparative processing power with intel xscale cpu.
If size and battery life is all that required to justify which one is a better phone, then i suggest you get yourself a nokia.
Yours sincerely,
Dopod 565 owner. |

@Eric,
I have a question... how stable is the M500? I had a bad experience with the ETEN P300 before. It kept having software and hardware problems once in a while. And it's not just me. A lot of other people experience the same problems. The M500's specs might be impressive but do you think they improved the quality of their workmanship this time? |

|
|
I read the news item and the responses in this thread, and I would agree with Eric. Though this is your forum and your opinions on the news items you feature, for that specific one you posted a link to refer to Eric's review and stated a conclusion that was contrary to his real opinion in his review.
That is misleading in my opinion as his review was actually the opposite conclusion. If you put your conclusion at the end, you should state that in the news blurb that it's YOUR opinion and not the original authors. As your site states at the corner, it's suppose to give the 'whole truth, not half the truth'.
Thanks. |

Are people being selectively absent minded or deliberately misleading when talking of this little machines 128Mb "memory"?
I know if I wanted a 128Mb handheld device in a shop and was sold the eten, the shop would certainly get the goods back along with a bollocking from me... |

Excuse me, but "users who might not invest in SD cards"?
Question: Which users who spend £300-400 on a device aren't going to fill the SD slot with a card of between 256Mb and 1Gb?
(Answers on a postcard to the usual address....) |
