Almost all of the information here was sourced from MoDaCo.com. Can't say I'm that surprised that you've decided to overlook crediting your source; that's the kind of thing I've come to expect of msmobiles.com.

There is link to Modaco in this news item (on "i-mate PDA2").

And not all information in this news item is from Modaco. Not even 50% is.

Aside from the rumours of the Magician upgrade - which are currently completely unfounded, and probably little more than you guys speculating in the hope of being proved right at some unspecified point - the only other bits of actual news there are from MoDaCo.

We can exclude the details of wi-fi and Skype on HTC phones - that's been established for two months now, and is widely known; likewise information about the T-Mobile SDA/Music coming to the UK - there has been little doubt for some months that these handsets would come to the UK.

This leaves us with the clear fact that the only actual "new news" - that of the Orange SPV M500, confirmation of the Orange SPV M2500, announcement and further information on the T-Mobile MDA IV (including the confirmation of its codename as HTC Universal) - was sourced from MoDaCo. If you take a look at the MoDaCo site, you'll see that they quite correctly state that they were first with these news items.

The fact that you have credited news of the i-mate PDA2 to MoDaCo is a step in the direction, but in selecting this single news item to correctly accredit to its source, you are rather obviously implying that the rest of the news items were sourced by yourselves - which it wasn't.

The rest is sourced by several friends of mine, not only from Modaco. Modaco is only just one of the sources, and the fact that you are reading it as the first one, doesn't mean that it is the first one with everything.

Anyway: I am going to 3GSM World Congress - the biggest mobile phone conference - and no-one from Modaco is going, so go figure!

Actually it's not a question of me reading it there first, it's a question of them actually having sourced the information first, and in fact they actually make that claim on their website, as I said. Are you calling them liars?

I am calling nobody liars, but suffice to say that I have heard similar claims of "having source the information first" also from other-than-modaco places...

Actually, now you mention it, you're quite right. There are plenty of websites that falsely claim to get the news first - msmobiles.com is an excellent example.

i-mate has announced that it will ship all their devices with Skype pre-installed. But they did not claim that the new Jams will have WiFi built-in. I'm not believing this until it happens.
