|
|
Is anyone familiar with the mechanism of ROM updates versus SIM unlocks?
Specifically:
I have an IPAQ 6315 that came with the T-Mobile branding and add-ons. I acquired the SIM unlock code and am now using the phone with another provider. If I upgrade with a newer T-Mobile ROM, will it re-lock the SIM access?
Since I am not using T-Mobile as a provider, I am not wedded to the T-Mobile add-ons. Could I use one of the available ROM upgrades (probably for the h6365) and flush my IPAQ back to a 'naked' state? Any effect to SIM locking/unlocking with this notion?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. |
