That was with GPS but no WiFi, but now HP is offering the same unit w/o GPS and w/ WiFi

No, it was about h6500, not about h6700. You are confused.

I am guessing that the FCC documents are for both the 6500 and 6700... no reason to get recertified if they include all the functionality in the device they got certified... ya know?

That is why I am thinking this certification is for both the 6500 and 6700.. just that the 6500 wont have the wifi they are approved for. Also the 6500 will be out soon and I have not seen different FCC certification for that device.. Very Happy

where do you have this information from?

by the way: do you realize that the version with GPS must have on the back socket for external GPS antenna?
