Samsung SGH-i750 is a Pocket PC phone that is smaller than HTC Magician (here on the right):

... but on top of all the features that HTC magician has, it adds: built-in Wi-Fi, 2 megapixel camera (instead of m...

I can't understand how can this even be considered a review.

It is not even out yet and you are writing a review on something that you have seen in a trade exhibition show!

I have to agree. Playing around with the handset for half an hour on a show stand is hardly representative of the phone's capabilities and failings. You haven't demonstrated the capabilities of the camera, you haven't tested the wi-fi, you haven't mentioned call quality, you've made no mention of how the hardware resolves with the software...

This isn't a review; it's a collection of pictures. How you think you are able to assert that the phone's "only disadvantage" is its lack of QWERTY keyboard is beyond me, when you've had no real opportunity to properly put this phone to the test.

Another msmobiles failure.

What's wrong with you guys?
I love to see a collection of pictures, especially when it is new to me and looks very interesting.
That is one of the reason I'm visiting this site.

It has a smaller footprint but is thicker?

Also, I'm not a fan of these custom connectors on phones. I like the mini USB cables as I have a few of them already, means I can charge my phone without carrying a wall wart PSU around.

yeah, it's smaller generally but a bit thicker.

I am also fan of mini-USB phones but some people like mini Pocket PC phones with keypad so this phone will appeal to them. Anyway such connector has some advantages becase the cable based car kits are possible to implement - not possible in all phones with mini-USB...

I love to see pictures too. But pictures are just pictures. And although a picture may say a thousand words, those words speak nothing of the actual quality of the handset, and how well it performs.

Therefore, as lovely as the pictures are, calling this article a "hardware review" is crap.

And how can you judge a mobile based on 30 minutes of playing? My imate JAM looks good at first instant but as time moves on hardware problems (these are known issues) starts to manifest.

Good reviewers are ones like Julie & Judie from The Gadgeteer who tests the devices they have extensively (for a couple of days) before putting out a review and judgement.

Pictures are nice (and well done in that) but pictures don't tell us about the quality.

couple of days and 30 minutes is not big difference - several months of using - this is the difference!

By the way: what kind of problems do you have with your i-mate JAM?

You arrogant tosser. There is a massive difference between playing with a phone for half an hour on a show stand and taking the phone out and using it to send text messages, take photos, view the internet, use the wi-fi, test call quality, and assess the overall performance in real practical situations. To suggest that simply holding it in your hand, taking a few photos and pushing a few buttons on a show stand is the same as a 2 or 3 day real-world test is one of the most staggeringly unintelligent things you've ever come out with.

Why can't you just admit that you're wrong? That a bunch of photos is NOT THE SAME AS A HARDWARE REVIEW. Honestly, you guys have got some serious issues with holding your hands up to criticism. That's something you really need to work on seeing as you attract so much of it.
