It is not clear yet, whether this card works also with MS Smartphone or only with Pocket PC, but if you are a major distributor you can contact Spectec and order it for your shop. Having a Wi-Fi card in mini-SD form...

Not really: i300 doesn't have mini-SD card slot but even smaller one: "TransFlash" (that was lately renamed to "micro-SD"). See here:
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/3667.html
for detailed info and photos of this card slot in i300 - I was playing with i300 and I have seen it in specs too.
So: sorry... |

| Someone informed me that the specs you have listed are for the regular SD Wi-Fi card that is already available. Look at the dimensions. |

I email the support of the manufacturer and asked them about my mobile i-mate SP3i (2003 second edition) and their reply was that it would work fine with smartphone. _________________ Regards,

Please be careful - The Mini SD Slot on the SP3i is behind the battery.
Unconfirmed whether it works or not. _________________ DubaiGuy |

Hello ST,
I presume that ST stands for SpecTec and you're someone from the company in Taiwan? If so, great! Glad to have you here to answer some of our questions....
My understanding is that standard MiniSd format is: Dimension (LxWxT): 21.5mm x 20mm x 1.4 mm.
As you mentioned, the correct dimension of the Spectec MiniSd WLAN Card is: 28mm x 20mm x 1.4 mm.
It looks like it's about 6.5mm longer in length than a regular MiniSd
Is this correct? Will this mean that the antenna part of the card will stick out of some MiniSd slots?

This also means that a lot of the very popular HTC Typhoon phones (e.g. i-mate SP3i/C500/XphoneII) won't be able to use this MiniSd WLAN Card as they have a regular sized MiniSd slot behind the battery
ST, can you confirm the size observation in regards to the fit for the HTC Typhoon phone MiniSd slot?
Thanks,
Howard |

if it's longer than regular mini SD card then many smartphones will not be ablet to use it!
I think that Spectec doesn't have this mini SD card ready yet, so better not to bother them yet - let them work! |
