Thanks for covering our Champion Awards. I would like to correct some inaccuracies in your rant.

First, Handango's commission is 30% if the application is sold on a wireless channel, 40% on our own Handango-branded Web sites and 40 to 50% on a channel partner's Web site. In no case do we take 60%. Further, our commission must cover affiliate fees, partner/carrier commissions and transaction fees on our channel partner sites, in addition to basic operating costs.

Second, the judges included representatives from non-OS affiliated organizations such as CNET, What Laptop, What Cellphone and Gadget Guy among others. The nominees for the awards were based on nominations from customers of Handango's network of sites (including Handango.com, HP, Dell, Microsoft, Orange, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and many other portals selling Windows Mobile applications).

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our awards, commissions or other services. All of the information posted here is also available in documents posted on our Web site.

Best regards,
Clint Patterson

OK, but once developer earns 60000 USD then you raise commision from 40% to 50%. I will check it out yet.

It is very cute that you name my news item "rant".

If you wish to get opportunity to straighten things I can call you over phone or over Skype (Skype has much better voice quality) and we can have audio interview - just send me your phone number/skype ID over e-mail ... or over "pm" (private message).
