If Orange SPV M5000 (i.e. HTC Universal) would be too big for you, then HTC is preparing a small Pocket PC phone codenamed "HTC Wizard":

... and that will be sold under name "Orange SPV M3000". They key t...

This is it. Finally, a phone with everything I want. Wifi, side sliding keyboard, small size, windows 5. I'm assuming bluetooth and sdio because the jam had it. Hope the processor is decent. I heard a rumor of 200mhz, but I can't imagine they'd downgrade.

No, it will be decent processor. Anyway: I think that this phone will be for all those people that need pocket-able PDA phone. That's why I have HTC Magician now... however HTC Universal (and HTC Blue Angel) are bigger phones that offer however something more - for example VGA display... so everybody will be able to find something for himself. I am not sure yet if I need VGA display (640x480) but probably yes...

Hmm. I think I'm going to miss 3G in it, but I don't care about video-telephony (had it, tossed it), it's the speed of 3G i wan't. OK for EDGE, better than GPRS, but only one operator in Sweden has it.

Think I'll wait for a small WM5 PPC with 3G and keep my Magician....

Re: Orange SPV 3000 (HTC Wizard)...

I am currently on Orange but looking to get what I now know is called a HTC Magician. I saw this at T-Mobile, the MDA Compact, but I also spoke with Orange this weekend, who offered me an SPV M500, the same phone, for £50 per month - 600 free x-net minuts plus free insurance and free £10 of monthly messaging. A good deal?

I now see the HTC Wizard...

So, my question... when will this be coming to market in the UK? Would it be worth me holding out another month or two for this? It looks almost the same size as the Magician?

BTW, I don't need 3G (Universal?), and what was that you were saying about a new version of Windows Mobile coming out that will make these phones obsolete?

Thanks!

Wizard will come to market rather next year, not in 1-2 months... I wouldn't buy M500 because it doesn't have Windows Mobile 5.0 ...

Hmm, I think that's too long to wait for me to upgrade from my P900.

Couldn't I add 5.0 to it later on?
