"Dave's Ipaq" is probably the worst I've seen in terms of product loans resulting in spectacular reviews. The moderators and admins over there constantly criticize every non-HP product on the market or in the pipeline and give nothing but praise about the HP products they're loaned. If you think I'm exagerating, just read their reviews of the hw6515.
And while I'm on my pedestal, what's up with the corny and constant clothing line reviews of "SeV" pants and jackets on that site?!? WTF... |

thanks for info about HP but this news item was about Microsoft!!! Not about HP.
Regarding "SeV": what do you mean? Can you give some sample URLs? |

So, your idea of an influenced review is a bunch of pictures with no comments except to explain what's in the picture. That's hilarious - and more than just a little "sour grapes." Oh, and let me finish your completely-out-of-context quote: "If you’d like pics of something specific that we may have missed, let us know and we’ll try our best to accomodate you."
So, to MSMobiles, Pic + More Pics = Bribe.
Shame on you. |

Yes, I realize your post discusses Microsoft, but the tone of your article regards how bribes (particularly loaned devices) influence reviews. My post was precisely on point.
What's your problem? I know you have a deep-seeded hatred for Microsoft, but there are companies out there worth mentioning, especially if they are OEMs of PocketPCs.
As far as SeV reviews are concerned, the headline of Dave's iPaq for the past couple months has been a huge review on clothing by a brand called "SeV". Today that headline was suddenly changed to an article that is actually related to IT (probably due to my post - who knows). If you still want to see the article, see below.
