1. I think the W is to inform the unsuspecting and non-techy customers that this is a totally different Treo altogether. I don't think they'll make another Palm OS based Treo anymore. You'll imagine one idiotic Verizon Wireless customer come up and say, "Hey, I need you to move all my apps from my old Treo 650 to the new Treo 700..."
2. It's definitely a 240x240 screen. Looking at the keyboard icon in some of the pictures, you'll see that it's not as detailed of an icon compared to ones shown in VGA screenshots. _________________ Bubble Buster Advanced

I don't agree. According to me it is 100% certain that Palm will be making also Palm OS based Treo but it may be the new generation of PalmOS - the one based on mobile Linux core OS. |

well, they may build another palm driven treo - but there will be no costumer anymore who buys it - except those little die hards, that buy things just because they are and not because of what they can do
i am looking forward to see this thingy in my pockets soon
cheers, lutz |

I think the think looks hideous and ugly.
It is possible to design a qwerty keyboard that does look good. If you can't design such a keyboard then hide it from view.
The screen is a stupid size too, with such a device you would be better having it wider than tall (not square), would make web browsing and other applications easier. |

I'm surprised.
Why didn't you scream and shout something like "Gotcha, Symbian OS! You will never be used in Treo, because you can not. Huh, huh?" or
"Yes, Symiban OS sucks 'cause even Treo runs Windows Mobile and not Symiban OS".
Ah, you might have forgotten, that you "advocate Windows Mobile", right? |

Well, there is SmartphoneShow organized by Symbian next month:
http://www.thesmartphoneshow.com/
and could be that Palm will announce there licensing also Symbian.... so I would better wait till this show saying such things... |
