The mini Pocket PC phone with built-in Wi-Fi, quand-band GSM, EDGE and slide-out keyboard is on sale at several online retailers starting today - it is "in stock". We will not name these retailers in order not to ...

Regarding resellers of the K-JAM:

1. Expansys UK did show a stock inventory of 500 early this morning and has since sold out of the entire batch as of 30 minutes ago from this post, and is back to "Estimated 7 Days" status of availability.

2. The phrase "The K-Jam is proving to be a great hit with many customers..." came straight out of the bombardment of e-mail newsletters from SmartDevicesDirect, who initially claimed that the Qtek 9100's would be in stock as of the first week of September, which made headlines at msmobiles.com and jump-started the inadvertent preorder madness to no avail on our behalf.

3. MadMonkeyBoy's Gadgets, a very reputable and honest reseller, has the best price and customer service any future Windows Mobile device owner could ask for, as posted previously on msmobiles.com. He has the lowest stated price of $749 for the K-JAM, and will likely be receiving his first batch next week. It is assumed that a good portion of the initial batch of K-JAMs that arrived at Expansys UK went to him.

4. MadMonkeyBoy has posted on HowardForums.com his unfortunate dealings with SmartDevicesDirect who has yet to return his deposits on previous purchases on end-users' behalfs. In my opinion, if a company such as SmartDevicesDirect (who orders from Expansys anyway) can give another reseller much reason to gripe about getting their money back or at least getting return phone calls, imagine what a single end user can experience with a simple order of one device!

5. While the possibility of SmartDevicesDirect using underhanded and inappropriate tactics to gain pre-order sales, withholding deposits, and poor response times exists, MadMonkeyBoy, on the other hand, has remained tried and true and very forthcoming to his customers and will be hosting a Wizard auction on HowardForums.com, just in time for Halloween as a sign of good faith and continued customer service.

6. Other reputable dealers include Canadian dealer Superior Gadgets, who is posting an October 15th release date for the Qtek 9100 (an identical alternative to the K-JAM) and even offers a local pickup for the heavily obsessed Wink, and Kemplar, who sports an October 1 date for their next batch of K-JAMs.

Until this whole situation gets resolved or revealed, I urge people to take serious precautions before ordering from companies who are currently in the middle of serious issues with other resellers and end-users, and go with someone who has built a solid reputation and relationship with his community.

Thank you very much for your comments and recommendations, but please note that MadMonkeyBoy is US only and I wish there could be some good retailer (not Expansys) available also in Europe... If somebody knows some good (not Expansys) online or not-online retailers in Europe (UK, Germany, France, etc) then please post links here!

I spoke to Expansys this morning just after I ordered my K-Jam online. They were polite and helpful.

They have also replied quickly to emails regarding the availabilty of the K-Jam with accurate and helpful answers.

I'm looking forward to receiving mine on Tuesday and cannot help but recommend them

We need to reply to some of these comments which are not entirely accurate. The late delivery of the 9100 has been an embarassment but was based on confirmed information from our supplier. All preorder customers were offered an immediate refund or a KJAM.
We returned payment to Mad Monkey Boy personal account on 3 separate occassions which were rejected by his bank and we were informed by our bank tha the account was frozen. (All documented) . We make international payments every day and this is an exceptional problem. If any customers have any issue with our service we welcome them to contact us directly.
