Latest Mobile Windows News: Motorola Q9C Review October 02, 2008; [without touch-screen] After being inspired enough to switch carriers from Cingular to Verizon when the first Motorola Q came out, I wondered if this one would be worthy of the upgrade. Since it’s release, the Q9 has come out on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The Q9C that I am testing is on the Sprint network, which can be purchased for $99 with a 2 year agreement.  more... It is the first Windows Mobile smartphone without touch-screen made by HTC for a long time. It goes on sale next month (September 2008) in Europe. While rest of the world thinks that the best QWERTY keyboard is the one usable with hand and front-facing, it looks like HTC believes that users want slide-out keyboards:

Nowadays however Microsoft re-branded it all and these terms are gone... but Microsoft still (presumably until release of Windows Mobile 7) is keeping 2 different platforms for phones with and without touch-screen... and even though nowadays smartphones without touch-screen are much less popular, Microsoft offers special home screen enhancement for them in recently released Windows Mobile 6.1 : Sliding Panel.
