While for regular users of Windows XP the Service Pack 2 is a significant enhancement, for users of Tablet PC computers however, Service Pack 2 is nothing less than a true revolution!

In fact, after applying Service Pack 2 on a Tablet PC computer even name of the operating system changes to: "Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005". And we still have year 2004! TechEd 2004 Europe coverage : major upgrade to Tablet PC operating system coming this summer

When it will be released (some time this summer) in full commercial version then it will be called "Windows XP, Tablet PC 2005 Edition". For now it is available as "Service Pack 2" in Beta (non-final) version for Windows XP Tablet PC edition.

So what's new in the new version that you will be able to download for your Tablet PC quickly from Internet and take advantage from the new features immediately?

Sony launches the smallest PC of the world: Sony VAIO U series

Why would you like to buy Pocket PC that can run only limited number of software and most of it is primitive if you could have a regular PC of the size roughly speaking the same as Pocket PC? We have been thinking by now that such device will be released around year 2006 but it looks like Sony will release such device this year (in Japan: May 2004, elsewhere later on in the year):
