While Microsoft is squandering money on Mobius and pointless limited-scale advertisement activities like Secret Cinema:

... Microsoft's Windows Mobile app store is epic fail. Oh. My. God. What is going out there at Microsoft? We could maybe understand spending money on TV commercials - after all millions are watching - but organizing silly cinema shows that merely few hundred people are watching? What is the point?

We have impression that Microsoft decided to throw big money at Windows Mobile to resolve the problem of "Windows Mobile being lame compared to iPhone" but most of this money is being squandered on things like Secret Cinema:

We live as we dream. Alone. Joseph Conrad

Secret Cinema, in partnership with Windows phone, took over the Nostromo on Halloween for a special transmission of the classic sci-fi horror, Alien.

Over 1000 special recruits arrived to be immediately transferred into quarantine following news there had been an outbreak. After interrogation from space assistants they were given Nostromo white boiler suits and torches.

A giant battered space army truck dropped off a dazed Dallas, pointing a torch at the derelict spaceship in front of him. Following him Kane and Lambert trudged past the waiting recruits, their space suits slowing them down.

The recruits were transferred into the shaft elevator and escorted to the great chamber. Following instructions from Mother via the Twitter wall they explored the ship looking for unusual activity.

...

Space officer Tim Exile kicked off the after party where space cadets danced long into the night.

Commentary: deep down inside we are Windows Mobile lovers, but we are haters of squandering money and mismanagement. Windows Mobile sinks. Windows Mobile 7 might save the situation but no matter how good Windows Mobile 7 will be - it will not help if Windows Mobile app store will continue to be a failure.
