Microsoft smartphone made by Motorola to be sold by Orange in Europe and Verizon in USA
August 09, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1.
Motorola would later this year release a Microsoft Smartphone-
powered device, making it the first top-five manufacturer to do so.
It looks like the phone will be produced by Taiwanese contract
manufacturer Chi Mei, and pictures of the device circulated on specialist
Web sites this week. One story said the phone would be sold by Verizon
Wireless in the US and feature a Qualcomm dual-mode GSM/CDMA
chipset, also making it the first device to hop both standards.
Orange will reportedly sell the device in Europe.
Above quotes come from The Feature - a propaganda machine fully owned by
Nokia, propaganda machine that poses to be a community web site about
Mobile Internet, from an article here. Just for the record:
Samsung is releasing Microsoft smartphone too (information about it was
released before news about Motorola´s Microsoft smartphone), and thus
Motorola is not "the first top-five manufacturer" to produce
Microsoft smartphone (Samsung is number 3 cell phone manufacturer in the
world).
