Alleged iPAQ cell phone available on eBay September 04, 2003 [Pocket PC phone] | By anonymous 1. HP is not selling any iPAQ cell phones. And the name on the device is "Compaq" although the new models use the new (after merger) name "HP". Is it real or a fake?
(on photo above: to the left is the phone, to the right: the upper right module is the GSM module while the lower right module is the CDMA module) Well it well may be some unreleased prototype, that somebody wants to dump at eBay, but we doubt whether the cell phone modules will work properly... The guy who is selling it writes: Compaq iPAQ 5600(?) 64MB Color Pocket PC 2002!! Includes GSM and CDMA Modules!! Is this the next new iPAQ?? Based on the HP H5455, this is an unreleased prototype(?) of the latest, top of the line series PPC 2002 iPAQ and bears the Compaq (not HP) logo!! 64MB RAM, 48MB ROM, ultra-bright transreflective 65K color display and... 400mHz XScale Processor!! Also includes removable rechargeable battery!! Provides biometric security!! Has built-in Bluetooth AND 802.11 WiFi Wireless!! Comes packaged complete with the essential hardware and software!! The alleged iPAQ cell phone is available at eBay here.
