2GB SD memory cards coming very soon from SanDisk

SanDisk is about to announce soon an introducton of new SD card of size 2 GB: "SandDisk ultra 2GB". This card will offer much higher transfer rate than older 1GB, 512MB (and smaller) cards but this transfer rate will be usable only with memory card readers that are equipped with USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 will not be enough).

Since all cell phones powered by Microsoft (both categories: Microsoft smartphone and Pocket PC phone) are equipped with SD card memory slot, it naturally gives them an edge over competition that is using still smaller size cards in formats of MMC (up to 128 MB) and MemoryStick Duo (up to 64 MB)...
