Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2003 will feature also mobile software topics
September 24, 2003 [General] | By anonymous 1.

This conference takes place October 9-11, 2003, New Orleans, Louisiana (USA). One of the most interesting (to us, fans of Microsoft cell phones) sessions is this one:

Making Money Developing And Selling Mobile Applications

10-Oct 2:00PM-3:00PM, by Tim Landgrave

With the release of Visual Studio 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 and Microsoft Exchange 2003, the devices people use to access information and the types of applications that partners can develop that allow their customers to work remotely will undergo profound and dramatic changes. The convergence of three major technical forces will drive the acceptance of new mobile devices and services. These forces include the widespread availability of high speed (>40K) wireless networks, a new and improved portable devices and new development tools and built-in applications support for portable application development. In this session, we´ll examine Microsoft´s influence on the second and third factors in more detail and then examine how they´ll affect your ability to make money in the emerging portable applications market. We´ll also take a detailed look at three main areas where you will find revenue opportunities immediately in the burgeoning Mobile Applications space.
