Handango is preparing to launch a Samsung i600 catalog for an un-named US carrier on Monday, October 20th October 18, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. As you can see at the following photo, the Samsung SCH-i600 is ugly compared to Motorola MPx200:
... but it should have faster processor and faster data transmission rates, thanks to usage of CDMA 1X service. It is a clamshell design and above photo shows it in a closed form, where the internal big color display is not visible, but just the external monochromatic display is accessible. We have got this message from a friendly developer from USA: Handango is preparing to launch a Samsung i600 catalog for an un-named US carrier on Monday, October 20th. Apparently it will be running Smartphone 2002. No word yet if this mystery US operator will unlock their phones. Well, the operator may be "un-named" by Handango yet, but we guess that it will be "Verizon", because Samsung people with whom we were talking at ITU conference in Switzerland, said that they submitted i600 for testing at Verizon. Please note also the "Verizon" logo on the photo above.
