PDF2Doc from TinyStocks now available also for Microsoft Smartphone October 22, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. As you can see on the following picture, the support for Smartphone has been added:
Moreover the vendor writes: PDF2Doc is a plugin for Adobe Acrobat (Windows) which can extract text from one or more pages and convert it to a format that is readable on Palm OS, Pocket PC, Microsoft Smartphone and Microsoft Windows computers. PDF2Doc will make it easy for you to take your PDF books or business documents and read them while on the go without having to waste precious space with the Adobe PDF Reader. PDF2Doc can automatically transfer your converted documents to your handheld device. NOTE: This plugin will work only with the full Adobe Acrobat program and not the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. The text can be reviewed in your favourite text editor (like TextPad) before converting it. You can set your favourite editor by selecting Options - Set Editor. If you are converting a book or other long text check the option Flow paragraph text so that PDF2Doc adds all lines that are not separated by a blank line, to the same paragraph. For business documents it is better to leave this option off. The company is selling this product for $12.95 (click here to get more info about it), although similar PDF to text converters are totally free (see for example the one here) and donīt require the expensive full version of Adobe Acrobat program. Well, if somebody already owns the expensive Adobe Acrobat, then buying this plugin does not make a difference.
