Video stream with review and discussion about Motorola MPx200 smartphone available November 17, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. CNET´s ´cell phone diva´ sounds off on Motorola smart phone
CNET´s Joni Blecher and Brian Cooley dive into the pros and cons of the Motorola MPx200, the first cell phone to be released in the United States that uses Microsoft´s Smartphone operating system. Some highlights from this video stream: * "it´s debugged by someone else... the French had to deal with it first .. and now we [USA] got it sorted out" - stating that it (i.e. Microsoft Smartphone) has come to USA only after being debugged in Europe * SD card slot mentioned as a big advantage * Windows Media player mentioned as an advantage but Joni Blecher was not sure whether the phone can play also MP3, not only Microsoft´s WMA format! (in fact: YES, it can play MP3 files out of the box too, she simply was not too much prepared for this review) * battery life: about 2 days stand-by * as a major flow of this phone, as a conclusion, is mentioned: no over the air sync ability with Outlook e-mails out of the box, without calling IT technical support and setting things up To view the video stream click here.
