Smartphone news from Denmark (EU) November 22, 2003 [General] | By anonymous 1. TDC Mobil launches Microsoft smartphone and Pocket PC phone. So after Orange Denmark, now second operator will be offering there Microsoft smartphones! Denmark is one of two Scandinavian countries in EU and is located between Sweden and Germany (see red arrow):
Interestingly current top boss of mobiles at Microsoft - Juha Christensen - comes also from Denmark... moreover the "Bluetooth" name (short range wireless techology) also originates from Denmark - it was Danish king Harald Bluetooth who united Scandinavia, similarly like Bluetooth is supposed to unite gizmos. TDC Mobil (www.tdcmobil.dk) is a part of TDC (www.tdc.dk) - the biggest telecommunications company in Denmark. The phones that TDC Mobil will be launching are Qtek 1010 (MS Smartphone) and Qtek 2020 (Pocket PC phone). Other Smartphone news from Denmark: if you are a "VIP" customer in Denmark at Orange (www.orange.dk/trumf), you can get the SPV E200 for 2499 DK (335 EURO), normal asking price is 3499DK (470 EURO).
